My name is Xavier Ho, Founder and Managing Director of Xavier Capital Holdings Limited.
I did not come to business acquisition through the traditional route. For eight years I worked in financial crime and risk analysis at a Tier 1 UK banking group, reviewing businesses, analysing financial records, and understanding how successful companies are built and sustained. I hold a Management degree from the University of York, but what ultimately led me to found Xavier Capital was something much simpler: a deep respect for people who dedicate their lives to building businesses that endure.
Growing up, I watched owner-managed businesses become pillars of their communities. Their names were on the vans, their reputations were built over decades, and a handshake often carried as much weight as a contract. Those businesses were built patiently, through countless early mornings, difficult decisions and years of earned trust. Today, many of those founders are approaching retirement and facing one of the most difficult decisions of all: who will carry their life's work forward?
Xavier Capital exists to provide an answer to that question.
I acquire profitable, well-run businesses that provide products or services other businesses depend upon every day. My interest lies in resilient, owner-managed companies operating in technical, regulated or operationally essential sectors, where long-standing customer relationships, specialist expertise and dependable service create lasting value. These are often businesses that receive little public attention, yet quietly keep manufacturers, infrastructure operators, utilities and other industries running every day.
I am not looking for distress. I am looking for quality.
My objective is not to buy businesses to sell them a few years later. I intend to build a family-owned holding company that acquires, operates and strengthens exceptional businesses over the long term. Every acquisition is viewed as a permanent addition to that group, preserving what already works while investing thoughtfully for future growth.
My approach reflects that philosophy. Where appropriate, I favour transaction structures that align the interests of both buyer and seller, including deferred consideration and vendor financing. A successful transition benefits everyone. It allows an owner to retire with confidence while giving me the opportunity to demonstrate that the business they built will continue to be cared for and developed.
I have no interest in stripping assets, imposing unnecessary change, or erasing the culture that made a business successful in the first place. Before recommending change, I believe it is essential to understand why something has worked for decades. The businesses I seek are valuable because of the people, relationships and reputation that already exist, and those qualities deserve to be respected.
My background has shaped how I approach every acquisition. I believe in disciplined due diligence, careful analysis and straightforward decision-making. I would rather ask difficult questions at the beginning of a transaction than discover unpleasant surprises after completion. Equally, as someone who understands both British and Chinese business cultures, I hope over time to create new opportunities that benefit the businesses within the Xavier Capital group.
If you are considering retirement, succession or simply beginning to think about what comes next, I would welcome a confidential conversation. There will be no pressure, no unnecessary process and no obligation. Just an honest discussion about what you have built, what matters most to you, and whether Xavier Capital could be the right long-term home for your business.
Xavier Capital Holdings is a young company, but it is built on traditional principles: integrity, patience, thorough preparation and respect for the people who built Britain's independent businesses.
If that sounds like the kind of buyer you would be comfortable talking to, I would be pleased to hear from you.
